Enhanced economic opportunities and greater mobility options are among the top potential gains realized through greater funding for passenger rail service, according to a survey of transportation professionals conducted by the UIC Urban Transportation Center. P.S. Sriraj, who conducted the survey and directs the center, can discuss the findings, which reveal the respondents' outlook on where passenger rail investment is needed and the barriers.
