Engage-IL helps social work students and other health sciences students work together to serve the elderly
Geriatric healthcare services are steadily growing in demand as the Baby Boomer generation continues to age. We need doctors, nurses, pharmacists and social workers to rise to the occasion and help people as they grow older. But geriatric care is all encompassing and requires teamwork from everyone involved.
This is why first-year social work student Josh Bryant applied for Engage-IL. This interdisciplinary program will take students from all seven health sciences colleges at UIC, break them up into teams, and give them the experience they need in order to provide quality geriatric care in their future careers. Congratulations 2017 Graduates!
Commencement for the Jane Addams College of Social Work was held on Friday, May 5, 2017. On that day, 205 MSW students and nine PhD students entered the workforce to begin their careers as social work practitioners, researchers, teachers or administrators. Read more here.

Over 70 guests gathered at Student Center East on April 27 to renew friendships with classmates, reconnect with colleagues, and make new friends.
