There are plenty of Chicagoland summer camps that focus on helping kids acquire science and tech skills. But one UIC center is offering STEM workshops along with economic and financial literacy and the arts for teachers -- for free. Teachers will learn to apply K-12 economic reasoning across STEM and STEAM to fulfill the new state learning standards for social science. Helen Roberts, director of the UIC Center for Economic Education, can explain.
