As the Mets start the World Series Tuesday night, they'll be featuring one of UIC's very own. Mets outfielder Curtis Granderson is an alum. Granderson, a 2003 business graduate, funded a $5 million stadium at his alma mater. The Curtis Granderson Stadium, which opened in April 2014 on the UIC campus, is home to Flames Baseball, as well as Chicago youth sports.
